At Becker Pumps Australia we recognise three main types of Dental Suction Systems that are used by Dental Surgeries, Dental Hospitals and Training Facilities;
- Dry (line) Suction System; this system removes solids and liquids within the surgery leaving the pipeline from the separator to the suction pump dry.
- Semi-Dry (line) Suction System; this system removes solids from one or a number of surgeries at a central collection point adjacent to the surgery or surgeries. The pipeline from the separator to the suction pump is dry.
- Wet (line) Suction System; this system discharges to waste solids less than 600mm mesh size and liquids through a “wet” pipeline via a suction pump.
At Becker Pumps Australia we offer both the Dry and Semi-Dry Dental Suction Systems which meet the requirements under the discontinued Australian Standard AS 2686.1-1984 as well many of the current standard standards from around the world.
Becker Pumps Australia can supply one of our standard units or custom design and build a unit to suit your requirements. We have supplied systems ranging from one chair up to 150 chairs; but we are not limited at that number.
- The Semi-Dry Systems consist of a rack mounted system complete with a Becker vacuum pump, control box, bacterial filter, separator and waste pump.
- The Dry Systems consist of a rack mounted system complete witha Becker vacuum pump, control box and bacterial filter.
- The Separator and Waste Pump Systems consist of a skid mounted separator and waste pump and are sized to match our Dry Systems.
All of our Dental Suction System are fitted with a Becker Side Channel Vacuum Pump. Whilst the pumps that we use have maximum pressure greater than required in dental suction, our pumps are fitted with relief valves to vent and maintain the systems automatically at a gauge pressure of not more than -20 kPa.
